Beginnings

Storyteller

Along the wearied road I’ll wander

To share my chronicles of wonder

To recount all I have seen and done

For a storyteller is what I will become. 

Spinning yarns in rowdy taverns

Reciting history in deep black caverns

Finding new stories along forest trails

Meeting new creatures to add to my tales.

So I’ll trek through howling wind and rain

Across the most unruly terrain

To the fiercest clan, and gentle home

To the poorest tribe, and rich kingdom.

And one day you will see me come

And I’ll recount all that I’ve seen and done

What I’ve braved through sunsets and morning rise 

Through the dark of night, under starry skies.

I have been writing consistently for four years, although I’ve been creating stories and reading for as long as I can remember.
